Leavin On A Jet Plane!

This morning we put this little guy on a plane to Duluth, Minnesota.
It is so hard to let them go!
We spend so much time with them.
They become our kids.
Well..  Grandkids

Actually when Flower Boy and I are talking to the pups, we refer to ourselves as Grandma and Grandpa!
Solid Truth!

Scooter Star is the first, of all our puppies, we have flown.
Normally we deliver the puppies to their new homes, if sold in Oklahoma.
We, also, meet for pickup in states surrounding Oklahoma.

Scooter's new momma saw this photo on a site, where we had him for sale.
She said he sole her heart and she had to purchase him.
We believe it!

Scooter will be the mascot of a daycare with lots of kids to love on him.
He is the perfect laid back puppy for this job.
He will also have 180 acres of property to run and play.

This little guy will have a wonderful life.

Today will be a very long travel day for Scooter.
We left the ranch around 7 this morning, for the drive to the Oklahoma City airport.

Sadly, Scooter got sick in the car!
Bless his sweet little heart!
I feel bad for him and imminently called his momma to inform her.

Thankfully, the clerk, at the pet drop off, was kind enough to allow Scooter to hang with her until it was time for him to board the plane.
Once she saw how well mannered Scooter is, she was happy to let him out of his crate.
I do hope this allowed Scooter to settle a little before boarding the plane.

All of the pups have a few days of separation anxiety, after leaving us.
It is just hard to leave their litter mates, Grandma and Grandpa, and all things normal to them.

When Scooter arrives, in his new home, he may take a bit more time to settle than those puppies we hand deliver.
Flying is stressful enough on humans, let alone an 11 week old puppy.

Scooter boarded the airplane and prepared for take off around 11:40am.
He will fly to Saint Paul, where he will have a layover.
The cargo crew will get Scooter out of his crate, walk him around, allow him to potty, feed and water him before placing him on his next flight to Duluth.

Scooter will arrive in Duluth around 4pm, this afternoon.
I know, I won't stop worrying until I have heard from Scooter's momma, telling me he is safe in her arms.
I am sure his momma is on pens and needles too!

Prayers for safe travel and an easy transition, for Scooter Star, to his new home.

XOXO,
Rancher Girl

Huge Things Happening On The Ranch

Many folks have been wondering what we have been doing these past weeks, other than building working pens and training German Shepherd puppies.

We don't know how else to announce it...

WE HAVE A WEBSITE!!!!!

We are still working on a few pages.
For the most part, the site is complete.
AND
It is live!

We are beyond excited!

Everything is all on one site.
AND

We are also thrilled to announce...

Rockin' B Ranch is the proud sponsor of
Charlee Long!
Charlee is a hard working barrel racer, trainer and cowgirl!
She is on the road to big places.
Charlee is the type of girl My Daddy would be proud to sponsor.

She has chosen one of our GSD puppies, as her traveling partner.
Jax already knows his job and will be delivered to Charlee in a few days.
We are honored to have one of our pups be Charlee's companion and protector.
They are going to be a great team!

All of our hard work, diligence and efforts are paying off.
 Dreams Do Come True!

Huge Things Happening On The Ranch!

NONE of this could have been possible without the Grace of God, our families, our kids and The Twisted Pro!
Kristen has built the entire website!
We are so blessed to have her on our team and have her friendship.

We can't wait to see what's next!

We love the life we live!

Charlee said it best in her announcement.
"More details on the way for where we are headed! Welcome to the ride!!!"

Moo Cow Monday, Baby!

What makes your Monday?
Moo Cows make mine!

This weekend was a busy time for us, on the ranch.
Not that we aren't ever not busy.

Drewman came home again.

We loaded weaners and took them to the working pens, 3 miles down the road.
Boy will we be glad when we finish the remainder of the pens, at home.

Bag were cut from the bulls, that were banded the weekend before.
Ode' D Smell of Bag Cutting
Turning Bulls into Steers!
A new Rancher Girl scent.
It Stinks!

The weaners were turned to pasture.

The weaners will stay in this pasture, for the next 45 days or so, then they will be read to sell.
The steers will be sold as graze out calves for wheat pasture.
We hope to sell the heifers as replacement heifers.

We love the life we live!

XOXO,
Rancher Girl

Texture Tuesday ~ Gettin A Lil Crafty

This Friday is our church bazaar.
All the women, in our church, bring baked goods, crafts and goodie baskets.
Items are sold, as well as, a meal served.
The proceeds go towards the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank, to help with The Food For Kids Backpack Program.

I have decided to do something a bit different this year.
I know many are expecting my famous apple butter or peach and sand plum jellies,
BUT
I have persuaded Flower Boy's help
AND
WE are making wire crosses!

We have a few different ones complete.

Flower Boy cut the wire and assembled the over all cross.

Funny how the living room coffee table has been turned into a craft table.

I embellished the crosses.
I didn't take photos.
Just another Rancher Girl fail.

Flower Boy is doing some final touches.

The finished products

Pretty darn Ranchey for the first Rancher Girl Designs pieces.
Don't you think?

There are a few more designs in the works.
We hope to have at least 5 or 6 complete for the bazaar.

They are made from Charlie Horse's fence wire.
When the cattle working pen was complete,
Charlie Horse's fence came down along one side of the pens.

You know me!
I can't let something go to waste or be disposed of.
I think these crosses are a great repurpose project, of that wire.
Wouldn't you agree?

Many other items will be for sale at the bazaar.
Here are a few items listed.

I have put together two hot tea baskets.

A hot chocolate basket.

 AND
An espresso coffee basket.
All that is left to do is add the espresso packets.

If you are local and are in town Friday,
Stop By!
We would love to see you!
